Pocket Theory is a small independent studio. That scale is not something we try to disguise. It is what lets us stay close to every interaction, every sound, and every moment a game asks for your attention.

We begin with a feeling

A game rarely begins here as a feature list. It starts with a feeling we want to create: the calm of organising a difficult grid, the spark of finding a hidden word, or the satisfaction of clearing a board with one considered move.

Once that feeling is clear, we prototype the smallest playable version. We keep what supports the idea and remove what gets in its way.

Design and play happen together

Visual design is not a finishing layer. It develops alongside the rules. Spacing affects speed. Colour affects confidence. Animation tells the player whether an action was accepted, mistaken, or complete.

We test frequently on real phones because a layout that looks elegant on a large monitor can feel crowded in a hand. The most useful feedback often comes from watching where someone pauses.

Small releases, long attention

We would rather release a focused game and care for it over time than fill it with systems it does not need. Updates will be shaped by real play, accessibility, performance, and the parts players genuinely enjoy.

  • Clear mechanics before extra features
